Gulu District Initiative
RAU has expanded its literacy programmes to Gulu district, covering both Gulu City and the wider district. The inception began with a stakeholder meeting to align partners and schools, followed by school selection where a number of schools were identified to partner with RAU. The latest activity was a training workshop where stories were written in Leb-Acoli and translated to English.
Stakeholder Meeting: The inception phase included a stakeholder meeting to introduce the initiative and align partners, local government, and schools around the literacy goals for Gulu.School Selection: A number of schools across Gulu City and District were selected. RAU will work with these schools to implement literacy programmes and material development.
